  Standards for Emergency Evacuation Procedure

Purpose

This procedure will outline the steps, forms and responsible persons required to properly evacuate the Oklahoma County Community Sentence offices in the event of an emergency.

Introduction

The Oklahoma County Director of Environmental Health and Safety has developed plans and procedures for the evacuation of the CSD offices in the event of an emergency. Each officer must be familiar with these plans and procedures in order to provide the safest environment for each employee as well as each visitor and offender that may be in the office.

Procedure

  1. Each officer will read and be familiar with the emergency evacuation plans and procedures of Oklahoma County.

    1. Officers will review each emergency evacuation floor plan and follow the quickest route to take out of the building in the event of evacuation. Each floor plan that is occupied by CSD personnel is attached to this policy.

    2. Officers will be responsible for assisting any visitor or offender in their office during an evacuation of the building.

    3. Once the building is evacuated, all employees, visitors and offenders will proceed to the assigned Evacuation Meeting Area as described in the attachment to this policy.
