Section 988 of Title 22
(§22-988.2.A.8)

  • Community Sentencing accepts adult felony probation supervision offenders only
  • Offenders must have been convicted or entered a plea other than guilty
  • Offenders must complete a level of services inventory (LSI) assessment and receive a moderate score (19 to 28) or
  • For non-qualifying scores, offenders may be admitted to Community Sentencing with the consent of the District Attorney's office or the offender has a mental illness, developmental disability, or a co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorder.
  • Sex offenders are not allowed in Community Sentencing
  • Violent offenders and offenders convicted of crimes listed in Title 57 Section 571 Subsection 5 are not allowed in Community Sentencing
