As the Superintendent for Oklahoma County Highway District 3, Gerald Wright oversees the construction and maintenance of all County roads and bridges in the District. Gerald has held the position for the past eight years and has been a Certified Professional Engineer since 1964.

Gerald’s civilian education consists of a BS Degree, Civil Engineer, from Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, Rolla, Missouri, 1958, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA), from Shippensburg College, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, 1982. Gerald also graduated from the United States Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, 1981. He retired from the Army in May 1988 with the rank of Colonel/06.

Gerald spent 36 years with the U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation and Civil Engineer. After retiring from the Bureau, he worked as a consultant for Freese and Nichols Engineering, Inc. located in Forth Worth, Texas, and then as Public Works Director/City Engineer for the City of Warr Acres, Oklahoma.
