OKLAHOMA COUNTY ROAD CREWS WIN TOP HONORS IN STATE COMPETITION Oklahoma County ranked 1st out of 16 competing counties in the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma Large Equipment ROADEO held in November 2007. The 3 day Roadeo event (Yep, its ôRoad-e-oö) is a yearly, statewide competition testing the driving, loading, un-loading and maneuvering abilities of the large equipment operators who maintain County streets and bridges. Oklahoma County's District 3 Senior Foreman Tony Wein won the Grand Prize for Best-Overall Equipment Operator. District 3 Road Foreman Clifford Karraker placed third for Overall, as well as runner-up in the Hydraulic Excavator competition. Oklahoma CountyÆs Highway Districts combined to score the most points in the competition and secure the 1st place finish.
