COUNTY TREASURER'S GENERAL INFORMATION
ASSESSMENT VALUE NOTIFICATION
The Oklahoma County Assessor determines property values and provides notification of valuation. If you have any
questions concerning your assessment, please contact the County Assessor's Office at 713-1200.
NEW OWNERSHIP
If you are a new owner of a property, you should contact the County Assessor's office with the correct address to
send the statement before September 30. As they will certify the accounts to our office on October 1.
MORTGAGES
If your mortgage company is responsible for payment of your taxes, you should contact them to confirm their receipt of
tax information from our office.
INTEREST
Failure to receive a statement is not a legal reason for waiving interest. The Treasurer must assess interest on all
delinquent payments at a rate of 18% per year, added monthly on the 15th day of each month, at a rate of 1.5%.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Your property taxes may be paid in full or in two installments:
The one half or the full amount must be paid by December 31st. If nothing is paid by December 31st, then
the full amount becomes delinquent January 1st and interest is added. We can not accept first half payment after
the December 31st due date.
If you choose to pay the first half payment on December 31st, then the last half becomes due on March 31st.
