One (1) German Shepard Dual Purpose Police Canine, C/N B615-00440, S/N AJO (name), acquired January 2, 2004 form Vohne Licke Kennels, 7953 N. Old Route 21, Denver, IN for $7000.00.  

This canine, Ajo, is being retired due to medical reasons.  Due to the nature of his training, liability issues would make it imprudent to sell or otherwise dispose of him to the general public or to anyone other than his handler.  Hence, he will be given to his handler, who will assume all responsibilities for his care.

29.       Discussion and possible action to approve FY 2012 contract renewal for Regional Secure Detention between the Board of Oklahoma County Commissioners and the Office of Juvenile Affairs.  This contract agreement consists of secure detention services for juveniles housed at the Oklahoma Juvenile Detention Center located at 5905 N. 32.       Discussion and possible action for approval of authorization for the Sheriff s Office to apply to the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), U.S. Department of Justice,  COPS Hiring Program  grant to fund an additional eleven deputies. If awarded, the grant will pay salaries and benefits for a period of three years.
