Small Claims
Small claims suits may be brought for amounts in controversy not
exceeding $6,000.00.
Forms to initiate a small claims action are available in the Court Clerk's office.
Small claims cases are set for hearing approximately 3 weeks after filing.
Evictions are set for hearing approximately 8 days after filing.
Filing fees must be paid at the time of filing.
Forcible Entry & Detainer (FED or eviction) less than $1500.00 - $53.00 fee plus service
Forcible Entry & Detainer (FED or eviction) greater than $1500.00 - $91.00 fee plus service
Indebtedness less than $1500.00 - $53.00 fee plus service
Indebtedness greater than $1500.00 - $156.00 fee plus service
The Court Clerk's office is located at 320 Robert S. Kerr Avenue, 4th Floor, Room 409. Our office is open
from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., Monday through Friday, except for legal holidays.
For convenience, cases may be filed in surrounding municipalities as follows:
Warr Acres - Every Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at 5930 N.W. 49th Street.
Midwest City - Every Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
at 8001 E. Reno.
Edmond - Monday thru Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.
at 28 East Main.
