Funded by the County, the Community Service Program works with District Judges in handling criminal defendants who have been required to perform community service as part of their sentence. The Program's mission is to require offenders to pay a debt to society. The Program places clients with 67 government agencies and non-profit organizations, which are approved by District Judges. Agencies include the Oklahoma City Zoo and State Fairgrounds. Most persons placed by the Program are first-time, non-violent offenders who have received probationary sentences for felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic cases such as DUI. Offenders do not work with children or elderly in day care centers or nursing homes. Office 306, Investor's Capital Building Contacts |
