Judge Shaw practiced law in Bethany, Oklahoma from 1976 until 2003 with Jack Petty and various other attorneys.  He served as Bethany Municipal Prosecutor from 1977 to 1994.  Bethany Municipal Judge from 1994 to 2003, School Board Attorney for Bethany Public Schools and served as attorney for various other municipal boards and trust.  Judge Shaw was appointed Special Judge of the District Court:  June 16, 2003.
