The Honorable Stephen P. Alcorn

Special Judge

Judge Alcorn was appointed to the office of Special District Judge October, 2004.  He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, in 1989.  Upon graduation Judge Alcorn served as an armor officer in the U.S. Army.  Judge Alcorn was stationed in Kentucky, Germany and Korea.  He fought in Operation Desert Storm where, in addition to other medals, he was awarded the Bronze Star.   Following his military service, Judge Alcorn managed commercial graphic art and printing businesses in Minnesota and Texas.

 Judge Alcorn graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2000 and became an Assistant District Attorney in Oklahoma County.  Judge Alcorn prosecuted  misdemeanors and violent felonies to include murder, however he concentrated on narcotics cases.  Many of Judge Alcorn’s cases were methamphetamine labs and he became one of the few prosecutors in the country to be clandestine lab certified by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

 Judge Alcorn left the District Attorney’s Office in 2004 and joined the law firm of Johnson and Hanan, where he specialized in medical malpractice defense.
