OKLAHOMA COUNTY LAW LIBRARY
MISSION STATEMENT

The Oklahoma County Law Library shall provide equal access to legal information for the judiciary, members of the State and County Bar, public officials, and to all residents of the county for the purpose of education and research.  Equal access shall be provided irrespective of sex, age, ethnicity or income.   The collection of resources in the library shall support the needs of the patrons for free, when available, or at a reasonable cost. These materials shall be made available in a variety of formats including traditional print and technologically enhanced services as budget allows.   The Oklahoma County Law Library shall provide services which exceed user expectations via leadership in innovatively used technology and its continual development. This is achieved by a process of perpetual evaluation and improvement of library services. Enhanced access to current and accurate informational resources and formulation of strategic partnerships allow the library to achieve this goal. The library shall be conducted as statutorily directed, in a fair, honest and courteous manner while avoiding debt and extravagance.  The library will also maintain an orderly and pleasant atmosphere so that material is readily accessible to all users. The library is further committed to maintaining superior performance and exhibit the dedication of library employees to the aforementioned goals.
