      Judge Larry Jones received his undergraduate (BA-1971) and graduate (MS/History-1978) degrees from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M at East Texas).  Following a brief career in newspaper advertising, he attended law school and received his Juris Doctorate from OCU School of Law in 1981.

     He was appointed Assistant District Attorney for Oklahoma County the same year and served in that capacity until 1993 when he entered private practice.  He received a Doctor of Divinity degree in 1993 and is a licensed Baptist minister.

      In March, 1994, he was appointed Special Judge where he has presided over preliminary hearing, domestic and juvenile dockets.  Presently, Judge Jones is handling probate, guardianship and adoption cases.

      Judge Jones is married (Nancy) and has three children (Kaci; Jonathan, and Jefferson).
