Vaughn, Johnson re-elected as BOCC Chair, Vice-Chair

Oklahoma City – The Board of Oklahoma County Commissioners unanimously re-elected District 3 Commissioner Ray Vaughn, R-Edmond, to continue serving as Chairman of the Board. The Commissioners also unanimously re-elected District 1 Commissioner Willa Johnson, D-Oklahoma City, to continue serving as Vice-Chair.

In county government, the Chairman and Vice-Chair serve in the position for a year.

This is the third term for Vaughn who was first elected as Chairman in May 2007, following the resignation of District 1 Commissioner Jim Roth. This is the second term for Johnson as Vice-Chair.

Johnson took office in September 2007 after winning the position in a special election. Johnson served previously as the Oklahoma City Councilwoman for Ward 7.
