Children's Medical Research Institute

Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI), located in the Presbyterian Health Foundation Research Park, is the only organization in Oklahoma whose sole focus is the advancement of pediatric research and education. CMRI has raised $37 Million since its beginning in 1983 to fund pediatric research and education programs including collaborative projects with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and the Children's Hospital at the OU Medical Center.

Current focus areas include: infectious disease, cancer and blood disorders, cystic fibrosis and lung disease, genetic disorders, diabetes and endocrinology, developmental and behavioral pediatrics, clinical child psychology, trauma and pediatric surgery, kidney disease, gastroenterology, pediatric training, ethics in pediatric medicine, and the care of critically-ill newborns and preemies.

The Institute recruits internationally recognized physician-scientists to provide medical care of critically ill children and trains future pediatricians.

Children's Medical Research Institute is an affiliate of Children's Miracle Network.
