Duties of a County Commissioner

Each County has Three Commissioners

In the great State of Oklahoma , each County has three (3) County Commissioners , who are elected from individual, geographic districts to serve a four (4) year term. The three-member Board of County Commissioners is the administrative body of the County. The Board has general supervision over all the fiscal affairs of the County, as well as each Commissioner having individual responsibilities unique to their District.

One Commissioner in Each District

Each County is divided into three districts, as equal in population as possible and numbered 1, 2, and 3 respectively. One Commissioner is elected from each district. District boundaries are set every 10 years following the federal census.
