Former Oklahoma City Councilman

Brent Rinehart's introduction to politics occurred in 2000 when he was elected to the Oklahoma City Council where he served for 4 years.

Brent is known for his reform successes while on the City Council. He succeeded in closing down illegal strip bars, sponsored measures that recognize our veterans by giving those who honorably served our country preference in the hiring process for city jobs, sponsored a measure that puts Oklahoma City on record as recognizing September as Veteran's Appreciation Month, opposed tax increases and oversaw 133 miles of road resurfacing in his Council District.

The most vibrant economic development in Oklahoma City was in Ward 4 during Councilman Rinehart's tenure.
