Southern Nazarene University (SNU), founded in 1899, is located on a 40-acre campus in the heart of Bethany just west of Oklahoma City. SNU is the third oldest private four-year liberal arts institution in the state.

The private University, with an enrollment of 2,200, offers its students studies in many areas from business to pre-medicine, providing more than 70 fields of interest in undergraduate degrees, as well as four graduate programs, five adult studies and five associate degree programs. It has a student-faculty ratio of 18:1 with an academic emphasis on Liberal Arts.

Each year SNU students are the largest group of college students involved in “Youth in Mission,” a summer ministry program sponsored by Nazarene Youth International. SNU alumni have served missionary assignments on six continents.
