Weapons

Whoever said "sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me?" Bullying may begin with a verbal threat or assault followed by emotional harassment, then lead to violence. Weapons are brought to schools by both targets of bullies and bullies themselves. There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy concerning weapons on or around school property. Weapons can be a pistol, replica pistol, starter pistol, dirk, dagger, any size or type of knife, razor, slingshot, explosives, taser, stun gun, rocket, brass knuckles, or BB or pellet gun. Any object used in a threatening manner, even if it is not normally considered a weapon, will be considered a weapon under the zero-tolerance policy. This could lead to a juvenile being arrested.
