General Information

When a juvenile under the age of eighteen is accused of violating the law in Oklahoma County, he or she may be admitted into the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center (OCJDC). The Facility works with State, County, and Municipal law enforcement agencies by taking custody of juveniles that have been arrested for serious crimes against the community. In addition, the Facility also takes custody of juveniles with Warrants and Pick Up Orders issued by Judges across the County, State and the Nation.

The OCJDC is one of the services provided by the Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau, located at 5905 North Classen Court, in Oklahoma City. The center is a 30,000 square foot, maximum security facility designed for the temporary detainment of juveniles for the District Court. It has a capacity of 80 beds, divided into seven living units, making it the largest licensed juvenile detention facility in the State. The OCJDC is a nationally recognized and accredited juvenile detention Facility by the American Corrections Association. The Facility and its staff, who work one of three eight-hour shifts, serve the citizens of Oklahoma County 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
