Grievance Procedures
The Facility has a way for you to tell about your complaints or if your rights have been violated. It is called the
Grievance (Complaint) Procedure.
If you have a complaint, talk about it with your Dayroom Leader. If you can't solve your problem and you want to file a
grievance (complaint), get a grievance from the dayroom. You can have help filling it out from another resident or any
Detention staff who is working. When you go the dining room to eat place the grievance in the grievance box. If you are
in the sanctions unit and you want to file a grievance the detention staff will place it in the grievance box for you.
The Grievance Officer will meet with you within three days except for weekends and holidays. If you and the Grievance
Officer can not come with an agreement, you have two levels of appeal. The Assistant Facility Administrators and the
Facility Administrator. If your grievance is on a school employee, you should tell one of the teachers because the school
has its own grievance (complaint) plan.
