Statement of Understanding

There are three levels of special management programs that you could be assigned, if your behavior is disruptive, assault, or presents a threat to the safety and security of others or the Facility. Behavior Modification may be used for known prior behavior, when verbally threatening to others, refusal to obey staff, when involved in inappropriate sexual behavior, possession of illegal items, gang activity, damage to County property, or when involved in excessive or disruptive behavior. Confinement can only be used for self protection, to separate residents from fighting, to restrain residents in danger of causing harm to themselves or others, or to restrain residents who have escaped or who are in the process of escaping. Program Suspension may be used for Assault and Battery, excessive major infractions, persistent gang related activity, inciting and participating in a group fight or riot or excessive disruption to the program.
