Restraints
Mechanical Restraints can be used for:
- Self Protection
- Separating juveniles from fighting.
- Restraining juveniles in danger of inflicting harm to themselves or others
- Restraining juveniles who have escaped or who are in the processing of escaping
- Preventing destruction of property if reasonably related to 1-4
Mechanical restraints also can be used for medical reasons, under the direction of medical staff, and during transportation to court and outside Detention.
