Adopt a Marine Program

Just a reminder that the Adopt a Marine program's first deadline is quickly approaching and at this time we are short on goodies to put in the boxes and postage expenses. Tomorrow is the last day to take any letters or cards you may have written and want to send to this Marine unit to Crystal or Karen to be mailed for the October boxes. Many people have stated they don't know what to write? Just a simple note of thanks or scripture can mean a lot to a service member. And if you are really unsure what to write we will have a generic card made up if you just want to sign your name. These can be found in the Purchasing Department or the HR for the BOCC office until 5:00 PM on Friday the 9th, 2009. If you are unable to adopt one of these marines and would rather make a monetary donation than to actually fill the boxes to be shipped, that is acceptable too. A Marine never asks for anything, but those kind words and actions from strangers can always put a smile in their hearts.
(Remember, this is a voluntary program.)
