Warrants Unit
On January 2, 2002 deputies from the warrants unit and Metro Fugitive Squad members arrest a Murder suspect in Del City, Oklahoma. This suspect allegedly shot and killed another in an area night club.

The Sheriff’s Office receives all arrest warrants on charges
filed in the county. A special unit was implemented in 1997 to specifically serve
warrants. The 7 deputies assigned to serve warrants set an ambitious goal to make 1,000
warrant arrest in 1998…they made 1,018 warrant arrests. They were also credited with
an additional 655 surrenders after looking for the wanted persons. Over
the past 4 years the warrants section has made more than 4700 arrest.
