FINANCE DIVISION

Captain John Waldenville directs the Finance Division which is responsible for budgeting, purchasing, grants administration, payroll and billing. This division also handles foreclosures, asset forfeitures, drug seizures and budget reports required by law. The Finance Division oversees an annual budget of over $19,000,000 for fiscal year 97-98, up from $12,500,000 in fiscal year 95-96. In fiscal year 97-98 the Finance Division processed contracts and grants with total revenues of over $9,500,000.

The Finance Division performs a critical role of maintaining fiscal responsibility while finding other sources of revenues and reducing daily operational costs. The Finance Division is staffed by 4 specialists in non-traditional law enforcement roles and 1 grant specialist. The division has streamlined accounting procedures and the competitive bid process, conducts daily operations cost analysis, implemented a new financial system, and has created greater efficiency in our operations.
