Records and Warrant Section

In 1997 the Records Section and Warrants Section were consolidated to function more efficiently and give better service to the citizens of Oklahoma County. The Records and Warrants section maintains a file on every person that has ever been arrested in Oklahoma County. The files are kept in this section and are available to law enforcement agencies 24 hours a day. In 1998, this section received and processed 45,940 files and 92,664 record checks either in person, by telephone, or by mail. Every charge that is filed by the District Attorney’s Office, or warrant issued by a judge, is housed in the Records and Warrant Section. In 1998, 27,392 felony, misdemeanor, and bench warrants were entered into the system. Since August, 1998, a new computer system has been utilized which will enable us to computerize all records and warrants.
