MYLES DAVIDSON OKLAHOMA COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICT THREE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 12, 2025
Oklahoma County, OK — Commissioner Myles Davidson is pleased to announce that the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has approved the Detailed Damage Inspection Report (DDIR) 0930-55-04 for the April and May 2025 flooding event, designated as ER-OK2025-01.
With this approval, the emergency repair project is officially cleared to move forward to the next phase of the federal Emergency Relief (ER) process. This marks a major step toward restoring local infrastructure damaged during this spring's historic flooding.
Eligible for Full Federal Reimbursement:
The approved project is eligible for 100% federal reimbursement if repairs are completed within 270 days from the event date by January 14, 2026. Repairs completed after that date are still eligible for reimbursement at an 80% rate, provided the work is finished and submitted within two years of the event (no later than April 19, 2027).
Commissioner Davidson emphasized the importance of this milestone: "This approval ensures that Oklahoma County can move quickly to repair critical infrastructure damaged by flooding, while securing the maximum possible federal support. We're grateful to Davidson's at ODOT and THWA for their continued collaboration," said Commissioner Davidson.
Local agencies are advised to keep detailed records of all labor, materials, and equipment costs, and to document completed work with photographs to ensure timely reimbursement.
ODOT representatives, including Wes Kellogg (WKellogg@odot.org) and Sarah Hamby (SHamby@odot.org), will assist in verifying completed repairs and processing claims for federal reimbursement.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation remains committed to helping local governments recover from the impacts of this year's flooding and to ensuring communities have the resources needed to rebuild safely and efficiently.
